Summer Khaleq

M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist

Summer earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from California State University, Sacramento. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping children find their voices through evidence-based practice, meaningful communication, and play. She values the role and perspectives of caregivers in their child’s success and strives to build positive, collaborative relationships with families.

Summer has experience working with children across a variety of settings, including schools and pediatric outpatient clinics, providing therapy in the areas of speech, language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and social communication. She has supported children with autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, intellectual disabilities, and learning differences.

Summer is committed to staying current with the latest research to inform her practice, especially in the areas of AAC, gestalt language processing, language and literacy, fluency (stuttering), and culturally responsive care for bilingual children and their families.
