Alyssa Manuel

Alyssa received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Dominican University of California with a minor in Psychology.
Alyssa has diverse clinical experience with emotional regulation, autism spectrum disorder, learning differences, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, fine motor/gross motor difficulties, and anxiety in pediatrics. Throughout her OT journey, she gained skills and clinical background in multiple settings, including school-based and outpatient settings.
As a pediatric OT, Alyssa believes client interest drives motivation. Alyssa synthesizes play with client goals to maximize client- and family-centered care. Skills in interpersonal collaboration and team cooperation have supported her in achieving the best interventions and treatment planning for her clients. She strives to create a sense of comfort and trust, helping each child feel understood and important as they grow. Advocating for a child’s unique needs in their own communities creates a world of possibilities, such as achievable outcomes, and occupational engagement.
